It is Hewlett Packard's (Asia Pacific and Japan) intent to fulfill its citizenship commitments by providing technology contributions that promote educational opportunities and strengthen non profit organisations addressing long term societal needs.
Hewlett Packard (Asia Pacific and Japan) rely on the long term relationships established by country representatives to develop our ongoing community investment projects. While we do not encourage unsolicited requests for technology contributions we will from time to time consider submissions that meet our criteria.
Guidelines to consider when requesting a technology contribution:
- Must be an accredited non profit institution (not an individual)
- Request must come from the beneficiary organization
- Request for technology contribution should outline the value to the intended beneficiaries ie; skills development, access to underserved group in the community, expanding knowledge etc...
- How HP will bring significant but not exclusive positive impact to the existing project
- The project should specify the exact role the technology contribution will play
- Outline the objectives, purpose and intended outcomes of the project
- Project timeline with detailed milestones
- Background and additional information regarding the geography of the project
- Details regarding key stakeholders and extended consortium project members
- Define technology contribution being requested
HP will NOT consider requests based on the following:
- Individuals
- Contributions for religious activities, churches
- Organisations with political military and para military interests
- Sponsorships or grants for conferences, seminars, contests, fundraising activities, promotional items, sports events, marketing, TV, video production, research or feasibility studies
- For-profit ventures
- Programs that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, age or disability.
- Donations of used or obsolete equipment
